Scottsdale Condos For Sale by Area: Gainey Ranch

There was some point in the history of Scottsdale where "Ranch" got to be the term du-jour in naming Scottsdale areas. Even now, there are new areas using the same term. However in the 80's, the "ranch" communities in Scottsdale were known for their lush green grass and "anti-desert" landscaping. Gainey Ranch is no exception, and this community that was founded in the 80's, is a well kept example of what a little water can do to the desert.

Gainey Ranch is a guard-gated community. The condos start in the low $300's up to the $700's, and most were built between 1985 and 1995. Some units have nice views of lagoons or the golf course.

The Hyatt Gainey Ranch is next to the gated community, and has a wonderful lobby and water park. This hotel is a favorite of local residents looking for a weekend get-away in the summer, as prices plummet in summer months. The Shops at Gainey Village, next to the hotel and the community has a nice selection of upscale shopping and restaurants.

The Gainey Ranch Golf Course winds around the community. The course is divided into three different 9-hole courses--The Lakes, The Dunes and The Arroyo.
