Scottsdale Condos For Sale by Area: Down Town Scottsdale

Ten years ago, downtown Scottsdale was a collection of cheesy western knick-knack stores and a few art galleries aimed at the winter visitors. What a change a few years and a concerted effort by the City of Scottsdale and luxury condominium developers can bring. Approximately 2500 luxury condiminiums ($500,000 and up, with most over $800,000) are slated to be completed in the downtown Scottsdale area in the next few years, which means an extra 4,000 to 6,000 consumers will be concentrated in the square mile area of downtown Scottsdale. New downtown Scottsdale residents will demand more restaurants, services and nightlife, all within walking distance. What was once a tourist destination has started to turn into a vibrant city center, with night clubs that attract the Hollywood crowd, and high-end shopping that both residents and visitors will enjoy. Residents will also have walking access to the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and the many shops and art galleries that make up the "Old Town Scottsdale" atmosphere.

Don't have half-a-million to plunk down on a condo? There are nearby condos built in the 70's and 80's that are perfectly nice and many are starting to be remodeled. Some of these lower priced condos may be in fact the future best performing investments in the area, as the prices will be pulled up by the new condos on the block.
