Tucked inside the Racquet Club at Scottsdale Ranch is a section of spacious, 2-story townhomes. In a community with mostly condos, the Racquet Club townhomes are an overlooked choice for those looking to combine the privacy and space with a lovely resort setting.
Townhomes start at 1360 square feet up to the largest at just over 1900 square feet. Floorplans include 2 bedroom units, 2 bedroom plus den, and three bedroom units. Many have a open living space with cathedral ceiling that makes the living area very modern. Built in the 1980's many units have undergone significant remodeling, with tile or wood floors, and new kitchen cabinets with granite.
But there are two features of the Racquet Club townhomes that draw buyers away from the condos in this community: The private garages and the private patios. Even if you are a seasonal visitor, you'll enjoy having some extra storage space in a garage, with a place to keep a car away from the elements. Though many Racquet Club condos have patios, they aren't as spacious as the townhome patios, and they don't have the privacy. Townhome patios have plenty of space to put a table and chairs, and a small garden.
Because the Racquet Club townhomes are larger than the condos, they tend to sell for more - usually in the $200's or the low $300's. And owners tend to hold on to their units, so there are often only one or two for sale at a time in the community.
They don't make communities like this any more, with so much open space and plenty of amenities, including the only community with full tennis facilities in the area. The community organizes tennis events, parties and other social events, and the community is secured with a gate and guard. 5 pools, a fitness center and a clubhouse give residents plenty to do.
